Practical Information

The Santa Cruz neighbourhood, located in Alicante, is a historic enclave that offers a privileged view of the imposing Castle of Santa Bárbara , the city, and the sea. With its narrow, steep streets, this neighbourhood stands out not only for its vibrant colours but also for the authenticity exuded by its meticulously adorned houses and doorways.

Availability for filming

Thanks to the absence of traffic on most of its streets, it allows for greater flexibility and comfort for film crews. The quiet atmosphere and pedestrian accessibility facilitate the organisation of the scenes.

To arrange filming permits, contact the Alicante Film Office, which offers assistance with filming authorisations and logistical support. Due to the popularity of this neighbourhood, it is advisable to plan ahead to ensure the availability of locations.

Best days for filming

It is advisable to shoot from Monday to Thursday due to the lower number of visitors. Mornings and evenings are perfect for capturing the natural light that brings out the architectural features of the neighbourhood.

  • Winding, steep streets: These provide an authentic and evocative setting, ideal for scenes requiring a historical or intimate atmosphere.

Additional Facilities

Alicante’s Mediterranean Casino is wonderfully located in the Sports Marina and stands out for its modern facade, versatile facilities and its wide range of gambling games.

Covering a surface area of over 3,500 m2, with views of the Port of Alicante and Santa Barbara Castle, the Casino is one of the best-located buildings of the city. Customers usually single out the poker tables or big slot machine prizes and the Casino is always fairly crowded. Not to forget the colourful restaurant.

The Explanada de España and the Postiguet Beach are very close to the Casino.
